“Arcoíris”, Rumbankete’s follow-up album to the popular “Que no pare la fiesta”, is a no-holds barred assault on the dance floor!
Founded in 2004 by a collective of the Los Angeles area’s prominent salsa musicians, Rumbankete has earned a reputation as one of the West Coast’s most exciting and progressive Salsa orchestras. Known as “La Máquina del Sabor” for its explosive rhythm section, powerful trombones and energetic vocal delivery, this truly international ensemble consisting of musicians hailing from Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia, El Salvador, Mexico and the United States and who have performed with the likes of Celia Cruz, Ruben Blades, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Diego El Cigala, Cachao and Gustavo Dudamel among many others is a take no prisoners music machine able to get any audience moving!
With “Arcoíris”, Rumbankete’s follow-up to 2011’s popular “Que No Pare La Fiesta”, the group further refines the relationship between their particular brand of no-holds barred Salsa/Timba which has fueled parties and dance floors in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Perú, Colombia, Cuba and Australia, with the songwriting artistry of singers Iris Cepeda and Gonzalo Chomat, keyboardist and founding member Matt Amper and Colombia’s Salsa-Muffin pioneer Tucuprá, whose song “De Frente” is blessed with an arragement by legendary pianist/arranger Oscar Hernández (of Ray Barretto and Rubén Blades fame).
